1. Coupling Selection
The hydraulic pump drive shaft cannot withstand radial and axial forces. Therefore, it is not permitted to directly install pulleys, gears, or sprockets on the shaft end. Couplings are typically used to connect the drive shaft and the pump drive shaft. If, due to manufacturing defects, the coaxiality between the pump and the coupling exceeds the standard, and there are also deviations during assembly, the centrifugal force will increase with the pump speed, causing coupling deformation. Larger deformation further increases centrifugal force, creating a vicious cycle that results in vibration and noise, thus affecting the pump's service life. Other contributing factors include loose coupling pins that are not tightened in time, and worn rubber rings that are not replaced promptly.
2. Coupling Assembly Requirements
Rigid coupling: Coaxiality error between the two shafts ≤ 0.05mm
Flexible coupling: Coaxiality error between the two shafts ≤ 0.1mm
Angle error between the two shafts < 1°;
The drive shaft and the pump end should maintain a distance of 5–10mm;
